RSF militia continues collapsing, Hemedti’s Senior Advisor defects

The advisor to the leader of the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, Dr. Abdul-Gadir Ibrahim Ali Mohamed, who is responsible for the Eastern Sudan File and the organizations’ official, announced his defection from the militia that sought to undermine the unity of the Sudanese people.

He said, during a press conference Saturday in Portsudan, “We choose this national position and announce the alienation of leaders from the Rapid Support Militia, the Advisory Council, stressing the presence of three advisors whose circumstances prevented them from reaching the conference and they will be with us in the administrative capital, declining to mention their names for security reasons.

He added that throughout the past eight months, we have been in dialogue with national leaders who represented a link between us and the state, as they sat with us abroad until we reached this national decision, which will have a violent reaction from the Rapid Support Militia including tarnishing our reputation, but this is our firm position.

Dr. Mohamed said that before the outbreak of the war, there were indicators of war and we were trying to prevent escalation between the two parties, but several factors strongly pushed for the war to erupt, explaining that this information is being mentioned for the first time. He said that the Framework Agreement was not the only main cause of the war, however, there were personal ambitions of the commander of the Rapid Support Militia as he wanted to seize power by force to implement a private agenda and another related to other countries, announcing that the conflict between the Forces of Freedom and Change and the RSF militia forces was clear and resulted in the Corrective Decisions of October 25, in which the RSF Militia commander worked to get rid of Freedom and Change, through the palace sit-in, indicating that Hemedti was supervising, planning and supporting the correction decision, besides some movements such as Justice and Equality, the Sudan Liberation Army, the Central Track and others.

The RSF militia Dr. Mohamed added, was the most party that supported the palace sit-in , pointing out that the sit-in was supposed to take place in the Friendship Hall and was shifted to the Republican Palace by a decision from the RSF Militia Commander.

The goal was, he disclosed, to get rid of the Freedom and Change Forces and this was done by the October Corrective Decisions.

The dissident advisor to RSF militia commander said that the situation worsened between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF militia because of Hemedti’s plans to establish more than three ports, including Abu Omama and others, a matter on which SAF objected, but the militia alleged that they were future projects that they would be implemented at a cost of $30 million, and the report went to an external party where a delegation came with Al-Goni, Hemedti’s brother, to confirm the projects.

The defected advisor to RSF militia commander mentioned that when the first ratification was not made, the conflict between the SAF and insurgent RSF militia began. At that time Hemedti threatened, saying, “If the projects are not approved, I will seize power by force to pass these projects.” This was the real reason for the clash between the SAF and the RSF militia, when the Armed Forces felt that the Outlaw RSF had bypassed the officials and the army.
