Rate of missing women and girls increases in militia-controlled areas in Khartoum.

The Emergency Room in South Al-Hazam (Belt), Khartoum, announced that it has monitored an alarming increase in the number of missing women and girls, particularly those under the age of 18. It revealed that more than 11 cases have been recorded.
The room urged, in a statement, families in the area to exercise caution and called on legal and humanitarian authorities to urgently intervene and investigate this phenomenon to ensure the safety of the girls and uncover their fate.
It stated that under the Geneva Conventions and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, all parties to the conflict must protect women and children from violence and exploitation.
