Rapid Support Forces Militia Expels Patients from Abu Zabad Hospital

The Dar Hamar Emergency Room in West Kordofan State reported that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, on Sunday, evacuated Abu Zabad Hospital of patients and civilians and allocated it for receiving wounded from ongoing operations. In a statement seen by Ultra Sudan, the emergency room said that militia elements forced patients out of the hospital, leaving some of them stranded in the open, while others returned to their homes under difficult humanitarian conditions.

It added that the hospital was repurposed as a facility to treat those injured in the ongoing military operations in the area. Ultra Sudan was unable to independently verify the incident.

The Sudanese army had announced on Saturday that it launched large-scale operations in the North Kordofan axis, stating that it inflicted heavy losses on the RSF militia.

The militia controls West Kordofan State amid deteriorating humanitarian and security conditions, with civilians suffering from violations carried out by these forces, including killing, abuse, and arbitrary detention.
