Qatari Financial Support for Sudan Expected

Finance Minister Gebreil Ibrahim has arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, where he met with Qatari Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari to discuss bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The two sides reviewed the most prominent areas of joint cooperation, focusing on investment opportunities available in Sudan, particularly in the agriculture, infrastructure, and energy sectors. They also touched on mechanisms for activating economic and trade partnerships to achieve joint interests.

The meeting addressed current economic developments in Sudan, presenting the steps taken by the Sudanese Ministry of Finance to improve the investment environment and attract foreign capital. They also discussed technical and financial support that Qatar could provide to development projects.

The Qatari Finance Minister affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Sudan and support development projects, which would contribute to achieving economic stability and developing trade relations between the two countries.
