Qatar: Targeting infrastructure in Portsudan and Kassala poses a serious threat to regional security

The State of Qatar condemned the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure in the cities of Kassala and Portsudan in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, considering it a violation of international laws and norms and a serious threat to regional security.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar’s categorical rejection of the targeting of civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, and called for concerted regional and international efforts to end the war through peaceful means.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar’s full support for the unity, sovereignty, and stability of Sudan, and its support for the brotherly Sudanese people in achieving their aspirations for development and prosperity.
