Prime Minister Participates in UN General Assembly’s Inaugural Session

Prime Minister Kamil Idris took part this morning at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, in the inaugural session of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, which is being held this year under the slogan: “Together for a Better Future: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development and Human Rights.”

 

 

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim , Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Khalid Al-Ayesir, and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sudan to the United Nations Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, in addition to a number of ambassadors and senior officials.

 

 

The Prime Minister is scheduled to present Sudan’s statement before the General Assembly on Thursday, 25 September 2025, reviewing Sudan’s priorities in the current stage, affirming his commitment to joint work to achieve peace, development and the promotion of human rights.
