Participation of NUP head (Burma) in the parallel government confirmed

The specialized committees for forming the parallel government, consisting of some components of the Sudanese Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Tagadum), the United Civil Forces Coalition (UCFC), the National Umma Party (NUP), and other groups, have completed preparing the interim constitution, political charter, and government program.
The government is expected to be announced in the areas under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia with the participation of political and civil components.
The spokesman for the United Civil Forces Coalition (UCFC), Osman Abdel-Rahman, confirmed to “Sudan Tribune” on Saturday that the participating parties will sign the political charter on February 17.
Abdel-Rahman said that the specialized committees have drawn up an interim constitution for the government to be formed, confirming the participation of the “UCFC” components and a number of “Tagadum” components, in addition to the participation of the National Umma Party led by Fadlallah Burma Nassir, the Unified Unionist Party, the Unionist Party (Origin), and the components of the Revolutionary Front, except for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), led by Yassir Arman.
Abdul-Rahman revealed the formation of a Sovereignty Council with broad powers and specific tasks, besides the Council of Ministers and National Assembly, which is considered the “National Legislative Council” of 150 people.
