Oil depot fires targeted by militia drones in Portsudan brought under control

The Sudanese Civil Defense announced on Sunday that it had “completely” brought under control the fires that broke out at the key oil depots and other sites in Portsudan.
Civil Defense Director Osman Atta said in a statement, “We have completely brought under control all the fires at the strategic depots and various sites in Portsudan under extremely complex conditions and large quantities of petroleum reserves.” This was achieved through “a well-thought-out action plan and great efforts.”
The United Arab Emirates (UAE)-backed militia launched deliberate attacks on fuel depots in Portsudan last Monday.
Since last Sunday, the city has been subjected to daily drone attacks, which the army accuses of being carried out by the Rapid Support Forces.
