More than 15,000 complaints filed against collaborators with Al-Dagalo family since the war eruption
Sudanese Echoes: Al-Taj Osman
An investigative report conducted by Sudanese Echoes disclosed that more than 15,000 complaints have been filed against collaborators with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Sudan since the formation of the investigation committee into the violations and crimes committed by the militia since the outbreak of the war in April 2023.
The majority of complaints were filed in Khartoum, Al-Gezira, Red Sea, River Nile, and Northern States.
For his part, Osman Abdullah Hashim, a lawyer, explained that the death sentences issued by the courts against some of those collaborating with the militia are complete sentences and elements of conviction in light of the serious crimes committed by the RSF Militia, particularly after it took control of some cities in the country.
He pointed out that Sudanese law also extends to refugees proven to have participated in fighting alongside the militia, in accordance with the 2012 Asylum Law and relevant international laws, which give the host country the right to revoke refugee status, withdraw international protection from them, and prosecute them according to Sudanese law in the event that their participation in fighting alongside the forces rebelling against the state is proven.
