Minnawi: Dagalo and Senior Militia Officers Ordered the Extermination of Civilians — “Do Not Film It”

Minni Arko Minnawi, Governor of the Darfur Region and leader of the Sudan Liberation Army, held Abdulrahim Dagalo and senior officers of the militia responsible for the genocidal killings and ethnic cleansing of civilians in El-Fashir.

Minnawi said on his Facebook account that Dagalo’s recent speech to his forces in Darfur was an explicit directive to liquidate civilians, noting that Dagalo told militia members they did not want any prisoners. He said that, because of those declarations, death became the fate of everyone, describing Dagalo as a criminal who turned El-Fashir into a theater of blood and destruction.

Minnawi affirmed that history will not spare them and that justice will come no matter how long it takes. He pledged not to stop until every inch of Sudan is reclaimed.

In the same context, Minawi revealed a broadcast video in which a high-ranking militia officer reportedly urged his forces to slaughter civilians in unimaginably brutal ways, and said that the officer’s orders were in fact carried out against the people of El-Fashir.

Minnawi quoted the officer word for word: “We have exterminated many, but do not film it — anyone who films must be executed.” He added: “That is exactly what happened in El-Fashir, where words turned into blood and directives into horrific crimes. So what should the world expect from these people?”

The Governor of Darfur Region expressed his astonishment at the continued silence of the international community in the face of such crimes, ending with: “How long will the silence continue in the face of all this criminality?”
