Portsudan: Nahid Oshi

Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Dr. Mohieddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed, has condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted the strategic warehouses in Portsudan on Monday morning.

This came during his field inspection of the firefighting operations at the site to contain the fires that broke out in the diesel warehouses and then spread to neighboring warehouses filled with fuel.

Extinguishing operations are being conducted by the Civil Defense Police to contain the fires, which aimed to completely destroy the largest warehouse in the state.

The fires are still burning at the time of writing. Efforts are underway to limit their spread to avoid a potential disaster in the area. There are no casualties.

The Minister said that this operation is added to the black record of criminals who continue to target service and civilian facilities in Sudan that directly touch the lives of Sudanese citizens, indicating that the goal is to disrupt life in the country and reflects the insistence of these militias, and those who assist them, to continue targeting the Sudanese citizen in his person, his honor, his money and even the services provided to him by the state, adding that the Sudanese hands that built are capable of rebuilding no matter how tyrannical the criminals are.
