Minawi Calls on Darfur Youth to Lift Siege on El-Fashir

The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, has called on the region’s youth to take immediate action to lift the siege on El-Fashir and Umm Kadada Locality in North Darfur.

Minawi said, on his Facebook page, “My appeal to the heroic youth of Darfur: The time has come to take immediate action to lift the siege on El-Fashir and Umm Kadada Locality.” He added, “Let us muster our strength and will, and show the world that we have the ability to change our reality. Let us work together to liberate our homeland, remembering all those we have lost, for they live in our hearts.”

Minawi noted that he has continued to appeal to the United Nations and humanitarian organizations, continuing to appeal to them out of responsibility.
