Militia Decides to Announce Parallel Government from Nyala

Identical sources have disclosed that a delegation from the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) arrived in Nyala, in preparation for announcing the parallel government in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

A militia official told Darfur 24 that preparations have been completed to announce and host the government from Nyala.

He indicated that the militia has renovated the government secretariat buildings and the guest house in the city center in preparation for receiving government members and arranging for the smooth running of business in Nyala.

The militia official explained that some buildings in the airport neighborhood east of the city have been prepared to host the government, including the Social Security Hotel and other vital headquarters.

Sources told Darfur 24 that a delegation from the Tasis Alliance arrived in Nyala from Nairobi late last week. They pointed out that the delegation includes a number of alliance leaderships, headed by the former Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) member Mohamed Hassan al-Ta’aishi.

The source expected the parallel government to be announced during the current month of March from Nyala.
