Militia Continues Attacks on Civilians in El-Fashir with Toxic Gases

El-Fashir Resistance Committees’ Coordination revealed that more than 10 people, including children and women, suffered severe shortness of breath and repeated vomiting, and it suspected they were exposed to internationally prohibited chemical agents following drone strikes by the militia.

In an urgent statement, the coordination said the people of El-Fashir are living in an extremely dire situation under indiscriminate bombardment that makes no distinction between young and old, between displacement shelters and mosques, or between a refuge and a battlefield.

Addressing civilians, the statement said: “Whoever wants to leave, let them leave; whoever wants to stay, let them stay,” adding: “We cannot give you guarantees of safety either in staying or in leaving.”

The statement continued: “There is fire in the sky and the earth is shrinking, and the enemy shows no mercy.”

The coordination confirmed that its members and those resisting alongside them will remain, vowing to resist the militia’s brutality until their last breath. “We will not kneel even if only dust and martyrdom remain with us; we will carry in our chests what remains of this homeland’s pulse and write lines of dignity with our blood. As for you, make your decision — we recognize the depth of the pain, but we also recognize the value of steadfastness,” it said.
