Militia Burns Hundreds of Bodies, Buries Others in Mass Graves in El-Fashir

The Sudan Doctors’ Network has strongly condemned what it described as the horrific crimes committed by the terrorist militia of Al-Dagalo family, revealing that the group burned hundreds of bodies in the city of El-Fashir while burying others in mass graves.

In a statement, the network said the actions of the militia were a desperate attempt to conceal evidence of its crimes against unarmed civilians in El-Fashir. It held the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia fully responsible for these massacres.

The statement affirmed that such crimes cannot be erased through concealment or burning, urging the international community to take immediate and urgent action to launch an independent international investigation into the situation in El-Fashir.

The Sudan Doctors’ Network further stressed that what happened in El-Fashir is not an isolated incident, but rather a new chapter in a full-fledged act of genocide carried out by the RSF, in blatant disregard for all international and religious norms that prohibit the mutilation of bodies and guarantee the dead a dignified burial.

“The situation in El-Fashir has gone beyond the limits of a humanitarian disaster,” the statement added, “to a systematic act of genocide targeting human life and dignity, amid a disgraceful international silence that amounts to complicity.”
