Large numbers of militias surrender to the army in El-Fashir and El-Malha
A force from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) surrendered to the army and the joint force on Tuesday in El-Malha, North Darfur.
A military source in the joint force told (Darfur 24) that large numbers of Rapid Support Forces estimated at more than 100 individuals with all their weapons and 8 combat vehicles surrendered to the army and the joint force stationed in the town of El-Malha.
The source revealed that 92 other militia elements surrendered three days ago to an army base in the southeastern axis of El-Fashir.
Meanwhile, Salih Idris, a notable from the Midob tribe, told (Darfur 24) that large numbers of the tribe’s sons announced their official defection from the Rapid Support Forces and handed over their weapons and military vehicles to the army.
Salh attributed the defection to the looting of camels belonging to citizens, which caused a clash between the militia and tribal mobilization.
