Khartoum’s Ambassador to Cairo: Egyptian Companies Participate in Sudan’s Reconstruction Efforts
Sudan’s Ambassador to Cairo, Emad El-Din Adawi, said that the Sudanese people’s support for their armed forces has enabled them to achieve numerous successes and greater stability in a large number of cities, including Khartoum.
In statements to Al-Shorouk, Adawi added that the Sudanese army is seeking to impose stability throughout the rest of Sudan.
The Khartoum ambassador indicated that arrangements have been made with the Egyptian government and companies to participate in infrastructure reconstruction efforts, including water stations, power plants, and sewage treatment plants.
He noted that an agreement has been reached with the Egyptian Ministry of Transport to immediately begin construction on two bridges that were destroyed by rebel militia attacks, linking Khartoum and Omdurman, in addition to a third bridge whose construction has been stalled.
Adawi said that several Egyptian companies operate in Sudan, such as Arab Contractors, Hassan Allam, and El Sewedy.
