Kabbashi Promises Darfur and Kordofan IDPs Imminent Return to Their Home Areas
Member of Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Member and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Shams-Eddin Kabbashi has praised the resilience of the Sudanese people, describing current displacement as temporary and pledging swift voluntary return once areas are secured.
TSC Member Kabbashi commended the steadfastness and courageous patience of the Sudanese people during the “Battle of Dignity,” characterizing the suffering and displacement caused by the war as a temporary departure imposed by its circumstances.
During a visit to Karari locality, Kabbashi gave assurances to internal displaced persons (IDPs) from the Darfur and Kordofan states that their return to their home areas was imminent. He affirmed that the state has placed the file of voluntary return to secured and cleared areas at the top of its priorities, so that reconstruction operations can begin immediately.
“Our appointment with you is in Kordofan and Darfur, and we will spare no effort to return you to your homes,” Kabbashi said.
The TSC Member further stated that the victories achieved in Kadugli represent one link in a chain of successive successes by the Armed Forces and the forces supporting them. He underscored that the operations will continue until the entire national territory is fully cleared of what he described as the stain of rebellion.
