(Joint Forces) refute RSF militia’s lies: (Al-Zurg) is in Our Hands

The Joint Forces of the Armed Movements denied a statement by the Rapid Support Forces (RSDF) militia that it had retaken Al-Zurg military base. While it said that talk of retaking “Al-Zurg” was incorrect, it confirmed that it was present in the area, but it expected the militia to attack at any time after organizing its ranks, asserting that they are ready to confront them.

The official spokesman for the Joint Forces, Major Ahmed Hussein, known as (Adroub), said that the militia fled from Al-Zurg south towards Kabkabiya and Kutum. He revealed to (Al-Jazeera channel) that the forces had seized weapons, shells and ammunition stores, and that jamming devices had been dismantled, and that they had transferred all the spoils out of Al-Zurg.

He said: “There is nothing in Al-Zurg now except barren land.”
