Joint Force: More Than 2,000 Civilians Killed by RSF Gunfire in El-Fashir
The Joint Force of the Armed Struggle Movements strongly condemned the “heinous crimes” committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the city of El-Fashir, which resulted in the death of more than 2,000 defenseless civilians on 26 and 27 October, most of them women, children, and the elderly.
In a statement received by SUNA, the Joint Force said these violations amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, stressing that the militia — along with what is called the “Ta’sees Alliance,” the State of Abu Dhabi, and its supporting countries — bears full criminal, moral, and legal responsibility for what happened in El-Fashir. It called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and international human rights organizations to classify the militia as a terrorist organization and bring the perpetrators to international justice.
The statement added that the city of El-Fashir will remain steadfast in the face of “barbaric and brutal attacks,” affirming the Joint Force’s commitment to fight under the banner of the Sudanese Armed Forces in defense of the people, while strictly adhering to international humanitarian law.
The Joint Force also reassured the victims and their families that “their rights will not be time-barred,” stressing that perpetrators of serious international crimes will not escape punishment, no matter how long it takes.
