Iranian President: We are satisfied with the resumption of relations with Sudan

 

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced his readiness to develop relations with Sudan. He said, “Iran attaches importance to relations with Sudan.”

 

Pezeshkian received a letter from President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan, delivered to him by Foreign Minister Ali Youssef.

 

Mehr News Agency reported that Pezeshkian expressed his satisfaction with the resumption of relations between Iran and Sudan, stressing the expansion of relations between the two countries, and said, “There is no reason for Islamic countries to have tension and sever relations with each other, and on this basis we welcome the restoration of relations between Iran and Sudan.”

 

Pezeshkian announced his readiness to develop relations with Sudan. He said, “Iran attaches importance to relations with Sudan, and I hope that good decisions will be made in this regard in the joint committee for economic cooperation between the two countries.”
