In retaliatory attacks by the militia… 52 villages burned around El-Fashir

Field reports and human rights data indicated that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia launched bloody attacks on areas in Darfur region, coinciding with the retreat of these forces in front of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in some important cities.

Sources told Al-Jazeera Net that the militia assassinated about 20 civilians on Saturday and burned 52 villages in the north of Dar Al-Salam Locality in North Darfur State.

The sources stated that this attack came as a retaliatory response to the victories achieved by the Sudanese army and the joint force in the (Ed Al-Baidah) area, southeast of El-Fashir.

The spokesman for the displaced in (Zamzam) camp, Muhamad Khamis Doda, told (Al-Jazeera Net) that more than 5,000 people fled from the northern areas of Dar Al-Salam to Zamzam camp as a result of these attacks.
