In pictures… Mass graves of students and teachers killed by militias found in a cinema in Madani

 

The Public Prosecutor of East Madani, Alaa El-Din Khalifa Mohamed, with the participation of a force from the Criminal Investigations Police and the Eastern Police Division, revealed the discovery of two graves in Zamalek Cinema in Madani, containing students and teachers who died as a result of torture in the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) detention centers in Madani.

 

He stated, in a statement to SUNA, that the force was able to exhume two graves today containing 10-11 bodies, four of whom were identified by their clothing by their families.

 

Al-Sir Awada, the brother of a deceased teacher, announced that his brother, the teacher Mohamed Awada, was arrested on December 12th with a group of students and teachers at Al-Dabasin Mosque, south of Madani, on charges of collaborating with the army. After Madani was liberated on November 1st, they received news of his death from a lack of oxygen.

 

The mother of the martyred student, Mohamed Adly, Ms. Amani Mohamed Al-Hassan, said that among the victims were Sheikh Amir Al-Tayib, teacher Dafallah Mohamed Osman, teacher Mohamed Awada, and student Mohamed Adly. The search for the remaining victims is still ongoing on at the Eastern Madani Prosecution Office, with the participation of a force from the Criminal, Investigations, and the Eastern Division Police.
