Important Meeting Between Minawi and Egyptian Ambassador on the Quartet

The Governor of Darfur Region Minni Arko Minawi said on his Facebook page that he held a fruitful meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salah, at his office Sunday.

The meeting touched on a number of issues, foremost among them the situation in Sudan and the position of the Quartet in light of its issued statement, along with clarification of the state’s stance on it.

He pointed out that he thanked Egypt for its strong positions regarding Sudan and its unity in all international forums, as well as for hosting one million refugees.
