Important Clarification from Sudanese Prime Minister’s Office on His Whereabouts and Health

The Office of the Sudan’s Prime Minister has confirmed that Kamil Idris is in good health and has travelled abroad on official duties.

Earlier reports had claimed the existence of disagreements between the Prime Minister Transitional and the Sovereignty Council (TSC), while other accounts suggested he was experiencing a health issue that required travel to Switzerland for treatment.

In its statement, the Prime Minister’s Office affirmed that Professor Idris continues to follow the country’s developments and daily events closely, around the clock, from both inside and outside Sudan. It added that he remains in continuous communication with the country’s leadership, including TSC President, as well as government members and state institutions.

The Office announced that Prime Minister Kamil Idris will return to the country at the end of the week, pledging to pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading rumors.
