Hemeidti admits: We were defeated and lost our best forces

Militia commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemeidti) admitted, in a defeatist speech, that his forces were defeated in Madani. He said, trying to instill a fighting spirit in them, that war is a war of attrition.

Hemedti claimed, in a recorded speech, that the militia lost rounds but will not lose the war.

He stated that they fought the Sudanese army for 21 months and will fight it for 21 years, alleging that the balance of power will change, attributing the defeat of his forces to the warplanes, which defeated them badly.

Hemeidti said sadly, “the aviation was difficult for us and we could not adapt to it. “There is no man in the world who can stand firm in the face of the aviation,” he added. “There is no human being who waits for explosive barrels in his place.”

Hemeti confirmed that the militia lost the best of its youth, admitting that urban warfare is a war of cowardice. Hemeidti tried to reassure his forces of their ability to retake the city of Wad Madani, calling on his forces to regroup.

Hemeti launched a violent attack on the Sudanese people for going out and rejoicing in the army’s victory. He claimed that the people were deceived and did not understand their cause and did not know what was in their best interest. He accused the army of manipulating them.
