Hamdok Coalition Condemns RSF’s Brutal Attack on Kalogi

The Civil Democratic Coalition of the Revolution Forces (Samoud) has condemned what it described as a “brutal attack” targeting innocent civilians in Kalogi, located in Gadir Locality of South Kordofan State.

In a statement yesterday, the coalition said the assault was carried out through a series of drone strikes that directly targeted a kindergarten and a hospital, resulting in numerous casualties, according to the statement, by Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied troops.

The coalition’s Humanitarian Affairs Sector reported that the attack killed 79 people, including 43 innocent children, and injured at least 38 others, the majority of whom were unarmed civilians.

It stressed that targeting protected sites, such as childcare centers and medical facilities, constitutes a war crime and a violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, noting that such atrocities demand investigation and accountability.

The coalition called on all warring parties to cease what it described as a criminal war, emphasizing that it “cannot possess moral or national legitimacy,” and underlined that civilian protection and the delivery of humanitarian aid should remain a top priority alongside a ceasefire.
