Government OF Sudan: ICC wanted persons cannot be handed over under the current situation

Sudan’s UN envoy Al-Harith Idris said that the Rapid Support Forces (RSC) militia damaged all the evidence requested by the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor’s Office regarding the wanted persons, particularly the phone calls and documents in the Ministries of Defense and Interior.

Idris said, during his speech to the Security Council, that the extradition of wanted persons is taking place within the context of permanent understandings and not in the current situation of transitional conditions, pointing out that the ICC Prosecutor General will visit Khartoum next month and may discuss these issues with the government.
