Former advisor to Hemeidti dies in mysterious circumstances in Kampala

The lawyer, parliamentarian and renegade advisor to the commander of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, Mohamed Abdullah Adam Wad Abuk, died on Monday in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, amid conflicting information about the cause of his death.

Journalist Attaf Abdel-Wahab confirmed that Wad Abuk died as a result of poisoning.

Commenting in the Urgent WhatsApp group, Attaf explained that Mohamed Abdullah Wad Abuk suffered from a health problem and was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors reported that he had been poisoned. He added that the doctors detained him for three days before he passed away.

The hospital administration refused to hand over the body of the deceased to his family, after his wife objected to the medical report, noting that her husband had not previously suffered from any kidney problems, and demanded that the body be transferred to the morgue to determine the cause of death.

Journalists from Uganda confirmed that Wad Abuk died as a result of poisoning, as the hospital in Kampala explained that his death came under mysterious circumstances.

It is to be recalled that Wad Abuk was a prominent advisor to the Rapid Support Forces, and he strongly defended it through the media since the beginning of the conflict, before announcing his defection with others and arriving in the temporary capital, Port Sudan.
