For the Second Time in Two Days … Another Aircraft Destroyed at Nyala Airport
The Sudanese Armed Forces carried out a precise airstrike early Saturday targeting a cargo plane belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia shortly after it landed at Nyala Airport in South Darfur State, according to informed military sources who spoke to Al Jazeera.
The army had previously destroyed an Emirati cargo plane on Thursday at the same airport.
The sources explained that the aircraft was carrying military supplies for the militia. The operation resulted in the complete destruction of the plane and the death of all those on board.
This strike came as part of the Sudanese army’s efforts to cut off supply lines used by the militia, which has recently intensified its drone attacks on cities such as Sinjah, Sennar, and Damazin, in addition to targeting Khartoum International Airport.
