Fierce Clashes Between Sudanese Army and RSF Militia in Blue Nile
A senior government official in Sudan’s southeastern Blue Nile region reported on Wednesday that the Sudanese army is currently engaged in fierce fighting against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia that began earlier today.
The official told Al Arabiya / Al Hadath that the army is repelling attacks on the areas of Dim Mansour, Bashir Nogu, and Khor Al-Budi, located southwest of Al-Kormuk, one of the main towns in southwestern Blue Nile.
He added that the army has so far succeeded in breaking successive waves of the assault and is working to secure the surrounding areas.
The areas of Dim Mansour, Bashir Nogu, and Khor Al-Budi host Sudanese army garrisons and fall under the jurisdiction of the Fourth Infantry Division, headquartered in Al-Damazin, the regional capital of Blue Nile.
