Fierce Battles in North Kordofan and Sweeping Operations Around Kadugli
The State of North Kordofan is witnessing fierce battles between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, while the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has called for aid to assist millions of displaced persons (IDPs) in Sudan.
Sudanese army sources told Al Jazeera that clashes occurred around the Jabrat-Al-Sheikh area in North Kordofan, confirming that artillery units targeted militia gatherings in the region.
Meanwhile, a military source told Al Jazeera that an RSF drone struck the Samasam area south of Al-Dalang city, as well as the Abu Jubeiha area in South Kordofan.
Earlier, a military source told Al Jazeera that a Sudanese army force, along with supporting units, conducted sweeping operations across three fronts around Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan.
