Famous Legal: Militia Forced Minors to Marry Several Men at the Same Time
President of Arab Women Leaderships Union, Dr. Badria Suleiman, expressed her hope that the UN Security Council would take practical steps regarding the issue of violence against women and girls.
During the workshop (No Tolerance for Perpetrators of Violence against Women and Girls) organized by the Isnad Association to Support Those Affected by War and Disasters, she stressed the importance of increasing community awareness. She spoke about the rapes that affected some girls as a result of the ongoing war in Sudan, indicating that there is behavior by the rebel militia to marry minors to a number of men.
For her part, the Secretary-General of the Isnad Association for Sudanese Affected by War in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Amira Al-Fadil, reviewed the cases that Sudanese women were subjected including displacement, violations and rape as a result of the terrorist Rapid Support Forces Militia rebellion.
