Egyptian Intelligence Chief Meets High-Level South Sudan Delegation

The head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service, Hassan Rashad, met with a high-level delegation from the Republic of South Sudan headed by Tutkew Gatluak, Security Adviser to South Sudanese President Salva Kiir.

During the meeting, the Egyptian intelligence chief stressed the necessity of resolving all crises facing the region through peaceful means.

He also underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation with South Sudan at both the bilateral and multilateral levels, particularly on issues related to Nile waters.
