Egyptian Foreign Minister: What concerns us is ceasing the tragic war in Sudan
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati said that his visit to Sudan was “very important.”
Abdel-Aati pointed out, according to the “Cairo News” channel, that “all that concerns Egypt is halting the tragic war in Sudan, reaching an immediate ceasefire, and restoring Sudan’s security and stability.”
He stressed that “Sudan’s security is Egypt’s security, and our role is to provide all possible facilities and support to enable our Sudanese siblings to agree on a political solution within the framework of a civil state, and a state with strong institutions, top of which the Sudanese Armed Forces.”
Abdel-Aati affirmed that he conveyed a message of “support and solidarity with the Sudanese state and its institutions, to emphasize that Egypt cannot spare any effort to work to support Sudan in this difficult circumstance it is going through.”
He added, “We completely reject any external interference or dictates from any party because the solution must be Sudanese only, and what the Sudanese agree upon is something that pleases us, of course, and receives all support from Egypt towards its sister and towards its brothers inside Sudan.”
