Egyptian Foreign Minister, Trump’s Senior Advisor hold talks on Sudan
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti met Monday with Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President on Arab and Middle East Affairs, and a Senior Advisor on African Affairs, as part of regular consultations on regional developments in light of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Sudan and joint efforts aimed at containing the crisis.
The Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for the Sudanese brothers, underscoring the importance of intensifying efforts to reach a settlement that ends the crisis and escalating humanitarian suffering, while preserving Sudan’s unity, security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, national institutions, and the resources of its brotherly people.
The meeting also addressed developments in Libya.
Minister Abdel-Atti stressed the need to maintain the unity of Libyan territory and safeguard the resources of the Libyan people, affirming Libya’s ownership of the settlement process leading to the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously, and the withdrawal of all foreign mercenaries, fighters, and forces from Libya within a specific timeframe, aiming to restore security and stability in the country.
