Egypt condemns in the strongest terms the intensive targeting of Portsudan Tuesday

The Arab Republic of Egypt has condemned and denounced, in the strongest terms, the intensive targeting of civil facilities and infrastructure in Portsudan at dawn on Tuesday, May 6.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt stressed the seriousness of the recent escalation and its extremely negative impact on ceasefire efforts, the protection of civilians, and the enhancement of humanitarian aid access to those in need in brotherly Sudan.

Egypt reiterated its categorical rejection of any targeting of civil facilities, considering it a violation of international humanitarian law and a threat to the state’s capabilities and daily life.
