Drone Massacre: Militia Targets Civilian Bus in Blue Nile
A drone strike targeted a civilian transport vehicle in the “Madim” area, located about 25 kilometers south of Al-Damazin, the capital of Sudan’s Blue Nile Region, resulting in civilian casualties, according to local sources.
A local source told Ultra Sudan that the attack involved a direct projectile strike on a vehicle carrying passengers, leading to fatalities among civilians. The exact number of victims has not yet been confirmed. The source stated: “There are civilian casualties following the drone strike in Madim, but their number has not yet been accurately determined.”
In a separate incident, another drone strike hit the “Silik” area in Bau locality, causing a number of injuries, although communication difficulties have so far impeded precise verification of the toll. The area is reportedly under the control of the Sudanese Armed Forces.
The attacks come amid ongoing fighting in the region since January.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese army reportedly repelled another attack on the “Sali” area, approximately 120 kilometers south of Al-Damazin, as clashes continue to intensify across the Blue Nile Region.
Local sources added: “The drone targeted the Silik area today, but due to communication challenges, the number of casualties or injured has not yet been conclusively confirmed.”
