Dozens Killed and Injured in Drone Attack on Al-Dalang

Dozens of civilians were killed and others injured Wednesday after a drone strike by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted a civilian gathering in Al-Dalang, South Kordofan state.

In response, the Sudan Doctors Network called for an urgent humanitarian corridor and the provision of medical and food supplies, citing the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the lack of health services in the city.

On January 26, the army announced the end of Al-Dalang’s siege by securing connections from the east to North Kordofan following heavy battles against militias and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu.

Since then, the city has been repeatedly targeted by drone strikes, resulting in casualties and damage to public infrastructure. Local sources told Sudan Tribune that multiple civilians were killed in strikes on various parts of the city, including the grand market and the headquarters of the army’s 54th Brigade.
