Defections in Chadian Army due to (President Deby’s support) for the outlaw RSF militia

The situation in Chad is heading towards an explosion due to President Mohamed Deby’s support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia.
While the leaders of the Zaghawa ethnic group, which has the most influence in Chad, are restless, a number of the most important army commanders announced their defection from the government and joining the opposition.
Security tensions began in Chad after the killing of opposition figure Yahya Dilo, who was assassinated on the orders of President Deby because of his competition with him in the elections last May. While Deby tried to contain the issue with the Dilo ethnic group (Zaghawa) by sending a secret delegation that included generals from the Chadian army to Adre to negotiate with the brother of the deceased Dilo to convince him to negotiate with the government, the members of the delegation defected and joined the opposition figure Osman Dilo.
Informed sources told (Sudanese Echoes) from Chad that the Chadian president directed his former personal secretary Idriss Youssef Boye and the general of Arab origins Bishara Issa Jadallah to establish an alliance of Arab tribes and the Quraan ethnic group in Chad.
In return, the Zaghawa leaders confronted the Chadian President, during a joint meeting, and announced their rejection of Chad’s support for the Rapid Support Forces Militia, which is working to exterminate the Zaghawa tribe in Sudan. During the meeting, which was held according to what the sources reported, they criticized the government’s assignment of generals (Abkar Shawa, Qaid Labed, Qani Hamdi and Saleh Abdel Karim Habre) to gather the sons of the Quraan tribe to send them to fight in Sudan alongside the Rapid Support Forces militia.
The Zaghawa leaders informed President Deby that the war in Sudan had become racist. They said that they would not remain silent about that.
In a related context, an investigation committee revealed that a general in the Chadian army had seized modern UAE weapons that had been sent to the outlaw RSF militia and were stored in strategic reserve warehouses, and replaced them with old weapons, then caused the famous fire in the weapons warehouses on June 8.
The sources said that General Omar Deby transferred the weapons to other warehouses belonging to the Chadian army in the “Farshna” area.
The sources added that the Chadian government concealed the results of the investigation for fear of them leaking to the Emirates and the Rapid Support Forces militia.
According to the sources, President Deby fears that he will be held responsible for the delay in the Rapid Support Forces’ entry into El-Fashir, due to his failure to deliver the weapons and armored vehicles that the Emirates sent to the militia.
Meanwhile, the Chadian president threatened the Chadian Front for Change and Accord (FACT), affiliated with General Mohamed Mahdi, with war and armed confrontation if it did not join the fighting alongside the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan. FACT is accused of being involved in the killing of former Chadian President Idriss Deby.
