Dagalo Family Militia Commits “Ethnic Cleansing” Massacres in Al-Fashir

Two Sudanese bodies accused, on Monday, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia owned by the Dagalo family of committing gruesome massacres against civilians in North Darfur and North Kordofan states.

The Sudan Doctors’ Network stated, in a press release, that the militia carried out a gruesome massacre in the city of Al-Fashir in North Darfur, describing the incident as an “ethnic cleansing crime” targeting unarmed civilians on an ethnic basis.

The network pointed out that the number of victims exceeds dozens, but the difficulty of reaching the affected areas due to the complete security breakdown has prevented an accurate count of the total number.

The statement added that militia members looted hospitals, medical facilities, and pharmacies in the city, leading to an almost total collapse of health services, describing this act as a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.”

The Sudan Doctors’ Network confirmed that the humanitarian situation in the city has become catastrophic, urging the international community, including the United Nations and the World Health Organization, to urgently intervene to stop the massacres and hold those responsible accountable.
