Colombian Mercenaries Being Assembled in Juba Ahead of Transfer to Sudan
The “Chadian Investigator” monitoring platform, which tracks military movements in the region, has reported that groups of Colombian mercenaries are being assembled inside hotels in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, ahead of their planned transfer to Sudan to take part in the fighting.
According to Nabd Sudan, the transfer route for the mercenaries passes through areas controlled by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement — Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu faction, raising questions about the nature of coordination between these actors amid the escalating conflict inside Sudan.
No official comment has yet been issued by South Sudanese authorities or by the leadership of the SPLM regarding these allegations.
