Cholera epidemic subsides in Khartoum

 

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State, Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed, has confirmed the stability of the health and epidemiological situation in Khartoum State. He reassured citizens that the cholera epidemic has begun to subside in terms of the number of infections, hospitalizations, and deaths. He also sent reassuring messages to citizens, noting that the Khartoum State government has been holding continuous meetings to manage the crisis.

 

In the same context, the daily epidemiological report on cholera in the state confirmed a significant decline in the death rate, with zero deaths in five of the state’s seven localities.

 

The number of deaths recorded today was only six, compared to yesterday’s report, which recorded 12 fatalities, reflecting a significant improvement in control of the epidemic.

 

 

On Monday, 605 cases were recorded, with the highest number in Karari, Omdurman, and Ombada, while the health situation remained stable in the remaining localities.
