Chernovol: Sudan Continues to Import Russian Grain and Fuel

Russian Ambassador to Sudan Andrey Chernovol confirmed that Sudanese authorities continue to import agricultural products and fuel from Russia, noting that a large portion of these supplies is being delivered through third countries.

In an interview with the Russian news agency Novosti, Ambassador Chernovol said: “Our Sudanese partners continue to purchase Russian grain, oils, and fertilizers every year. Recently, they have also started buying petroleum products, especially after the country’s only oil refinery ceased operations.”

He added that “under the sanctions imposed on both countries, a significant part of these supplies is now being delivered through third countries.”
