Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army: The battle has kicked off


Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Yassir Al-Atta, accompanied by Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Al-Labib, inspected the forces in the city of Khartoum Bahri on the front lines today.

General Al-Atta arrived at the Kadro Military Area coming from the city of Omdurman.
A video clip transmitted on his supporters’ Facebook page showed Al-Atta passing military crowds of soldiers who gathered around him chanting “Allah is Great”.
According to the video clip, Al-Atta said that the army received new weapons in large quantities, adding: “We received quantities of quadric and dual weapons as well as quantities of DShK (Dushkas) guns. All types of weapons arrived in large quantities, and other preparations are on the TOP,”. “As for our brothers now in the current stages of the battle, we will not say that they are holding their reins, but the battle has begun.”, he continued.
He stressed that the army has inflicted heavy losses on the rebels in the various battles of Khartoum.
