Army Surge Enters Al-Hammadi, Habila and Al-Dibeibat
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), following numerous intense battles across multiple Kordofan fronts, have succeeded in recapturing several towns, most notably Kazgeil, Al-Riyash, Habila and Al-Hammadi, amid reports that army units have also entered the town of Al-Dibeibat.
Military sources said the army is conducting breakthrough operations backed by substantial air support from the Sudanese Air Force.
Field sources earlier reported that SAF had regained control of the Kazgeil and Al-Riyash areas, located south of El-Obeid in North Kordofan State, after fierce fighting with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in and around the area.
This field development comes as part of ongoing military operations aimed at securing the city of El-Obeid and its southern approaches. Kazgeil is regarded as a strategically significant location, linking key supply routes and influencing movement between localities within the state.
The sources confirmed that SAF continues to sweep the area to ensure stability and prevent any infiltration or redeployment attempts, noting that control of Kazgeil represents a significant advance in strengthening the military position in the state and underscores the army’s ability to regain the initiative on the battlefield.
