Army Recaptures Karan Karan and Dokan in Blue Nile, Advances Toward Al-Kormuk

The Sudanese Armed Forces announced new strategic field gains along the Blue Nile operational axis in southeastern Sudan, saying troops had recaptured key areas and positions previously held by rebel forces.

Military sources said the army continues its ground advance steadily, resulting in the full recapture of the Karan Karan and Dokan areas on the southeastern Blue Nile front. The two areas lie about 25 kilometers from Al-Kormuk and are considered part of Al-Kormuk locality.

The forces also succeeded in seizing a number of military positions and strategic points previously used by the RSF militia as defensive and supply lines.

The sources added that the latest advance places the Sudanese Armed Forces on the outskirts of the strategic city of Al-Kormuk, with troops moving closer to retaking it and securing the entire border strip of the region amid a rapid collapse within rebel ranks and heavy losses in personnel and equipment.
