Army Deploys Massive Reinforcements to Al-Dalang, Kills Rebel Field Commanders

Drone strikes by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted a gathering of civilians in Al-Dalang, South Kordofan, on Tuesday, who were celebrating the lifting of the city’s siege. On Monday evening, the RSF also conducted random shelling on Al-Dalang, coinciding with celebrations marking the breaking of the siege.

 

Military sources told Al-Tara Sudan that the militia targeted civilians celebrating the lifting of the siege using suicide and strategic drones. The sources indicated that the strikes caused civilian injuries, some critical, and the wounded were transported to hospitals for treatment.

 

The sources confirmed that anti-aircraft units of the 54th Al-Dalang Brigade were able to shoot down some drones, while others hit civilian gatherings.

 

 

In a related development, the Sudanese Army and its allies successfully repelled an attack by the RSF and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) on Habila, near Al-Dalang. The sources noted that the army destroyed more than 30 combat vehicles with full equipment and killed several attacking forces, including field commanders.

The army is reportedly fully prepared to repel any potential attacks on Al-Dalang axis.

 

Meanwhile, the Sudanese Army reinforced its military presence along the Al-Dalang–Habila Road following its success in lifting the siege of Al-Dalang. According to field sources cited by Al-Sharq, additional reinforcements were deployed to the city, alongside securing the road linking it to Habila by establishing military posts, in an effort to strengthen control and secure supply and movement lines.
