Army denies liquidating volunteers in Bahri and accuses RSF militia and (Taggadom)

A spokesperson for the Sudanese army denied, on Wednesday, that its elements committed physical liquidations that targeted dozens of activists in volunteer action in Khartoum Bahri, on the pretext of their cooperation with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Platforms on social media circulated news about battalions of the Sudanese army liquidating a number of civilians in Khartoum Bahri, after accusing them of cooperating with the Rapid Support Forces.

The platforms transmitted a video clip showing a number of dead persons drowning in their blood, while men standing beside them, some wearing the army’s military uniform, and others in civilian clothes, threatening to kill anyone who was proven to cooperate and be loyal to the Rapid Support Forces.

Meanwhile, multiple sources said that the incident took place in the Halfaya suburb of Khartoum Bahri, which the army took control of a few days ago.

The spokesman for the armed forces, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, told Sudan Tribune: “What is being circulated about the army’s involvement in liquidating humanitarian volunteers in the Bahri area is nothing but lies and fabrications that the RSF militia and their political aides have been promoting.” Nabil accused the coalition of civil democratic forces “Taggadom” of being behind the campaign, which he said targets the Sudanese army, pointing out that this coalition adopts the lies of the rebel militia – referring to the Rapid Support Forces – and ignores the violations and atrocities committed by their allies in the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia, while promoting lies about the armed forces.
