Army Consolidates Control Over New Areas, Eliminates Rebel Pockets

Field sources reported that the Sudanese Armed Forces have established full control over areas east of Al-Hammadi and Kazgeil, extending to Alouba and Al-Rahad in the Kordofan region.

The sources said the armed forces carried out extensive and successful sweep operations that completely eliminated elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia previously deployed in these areas. The operations secured vast tracts of territory and cut off any attempts at infiltration or threats to villages and towns along this strategic axis.

Recent military actions also saw the rout of remaining rebel elements and the destruction of their combat vehicles, which had been used to terrorize civilians and disrupt trade.

Field reports indicated that asserting control over the Al-Hammadi–Kazgeil–Al-Rahad triangle dealt a decisive blow to the Rapid Support Forces’ lines of movement, transforming the area into forward positions for the Sudanese army.

Residents widely welcomed the restoration of security and stability following the expulsion of the militia from their communities.
